Grants give you money that never need be repaid, if you do all the work for which the grant was made. So how can you be more successful in getting grants? Here are your answers:
- The purpose of the grant is the most important item in a grant’s approval. The more important the purpose of the grant (such as health, education, job training, etc.), the easier it is to get the grant.
- The number of people who will benefit from a grant is next in importance. The larger the number, the easier it is for you to get the grant.
- The need for the grant is the third item in its final approval. Thus, the greater the need for the grant, the easier it is for you to get approval for it.
- The amount of the grant is the fourth item in its approval. Why? Because grants in larger amounts are often easier to get than smaller grants–if the amount of money needed is within the range of grants made by the organization to which you apply. So start NOW!
