What's the Simplest Exporting You Can Do?
by Tyler G. Hicks
Exporting intrigues thousands of people. Yet when they're on the verge of deciding
on their own export business, they get worried and often ask: "What's the simplest
exporting I can do?" The answer is:
- Export a product that's complete in itself--such as a
toothbrush, a lead pencil, a wrist watch, or a finger ring.
- Avoid exporting products needing complex assembly,
intricate operating procedures, highly experienced mechanics.
- Seek exports that are small, lightweight, free of dangerous
chemicals, easy to ship, need little explaining to use, and that
are needed by large groups of people.
Once you,ve found such an export you'd like to work with,
take these steps:
- Look for suppliers of your export. One quick way to find a
supplier is to contact the Trade Association serving the export
you've chosen. You'll find a list of associations at your
public or private library.
- Contact the Trade Association you've chosen for a list of
suppliers of "your" export.
- Find oversea buyers of your export through the U.S. Department
of Commerce and your local State Department of Commerce.
- Contact overseas buyers, make the sale and export your
SIMPLE PRODUCT to earn a good profit for your work!
