Some people find that, when they register to various paid survey sites in order to start earning a little side income, they get very few surveys, if any. On the other hand, their friends could be getting tons and tons of surveys –more than they can easily handle.
Many who are new to the system of paid surveys don't understand why, and this can lead to a lot of unnecessary worrying and hassle. Truth be told, it does make sense if you look at it from the right angle.
First and foremost, it is worth remembering that paid surveys are pretty much just a method of collecting market research. Big companies either engage the services of paid survey sites, or go directly to customers themselves, in order to get their responses and thoughts on various items that range from A to Z.
But bearing in mind that it is market research, what these companies are interested in isn’t the opinions of everyone out there, in most cases. Instead, they’re interested in the opinions of the market that they’re targeting.
Naturally, if this market is all-encompassing, then it means everybody’s say is important, but in most situations, it is split into age groups, i.e. 1-3, 4-7, 7-10, 10-12, 12-15, and so on. Similarly, it can also be split according to gender, location, background and various other types of information.
Really, there are no rules regarding the criteria that might crop up for a given survey, and it is only dependent on which market the research is intended to target.
Due to this, it is common to find that most of the surveys currently available concentrate on countries such as the United States and United Kingdom. But even then, there are those who would find that there are more surveys available to them than to others depending on the demographic that they fall under.
All in all, this means that no small amount of ‘luck’ is involved. Of course, there are ways to improve your chances of getting surveys, chief among which is to sign up to as many paid survey portals as you can. That way even you only get a couple each week from each portal, you’ll still find that you have more than enough surveys to last you.
If you really are serious about earning cash by completing surveys, you’re going to have to put in some small amount of legwork for it. On the bright side, once you have registered to these portals, you can then afford to sit back and relax while you keep getting more and more surveys to complete.
In short, it’s a one off effort that will pay dividends later.
Of course, if you happen to have criteria that match a lot of surveys, you may very well find that you don’t need to register to all that many portals. As of right now though, there appear to be more than enough surveys to go around.
